Short description

The instrument is used to evaluate the refining condition and to determine the dewatering behavior of pulp suspensions by the Schopper-Riegler method in accordance with ISO 526/71 - Zellcheming V/79 - SCAN C 19.

The drainage capacity depends on the fiber length, fibrillation and swelling. A high dewatering rate corresponds to a low freeness (SR value) and vice versa.
